The Murray River Retriever Association Volunteer Committee Members
About the Association
The Association was started in 2010 as the Murray River Curly Coated Retriever Association, after Murray owners came together in an online group. The first meeting was held on 13 June 2010.
The Murray River Curly Coated Retriever Association was incorporated in Victoria in 2012. The name was changed in 2015 to the Murray River Retriever Association Incorporated, to avoid any confusion between the Australian developed Murray River Retriever and the English Curly Coated Retriever. The dog register in its current form began in 2014.
The club is also on Facebook: see Social Media for its groups.
The Committee
The Committee helps guide and support the Association, with all members generously volunteering their time. Here you can find out a little about who we are, what we do and where we're based.
Whether you have a question about puppies, rehoming or your membership, you'll find helpful forms throughout our website. Using these forms is often the easiest way to get your enquiry to the right person, so we can get back to you as soon as possible.
What each role looks after, who does it, and how to reach them. Ken is our President and our Registrar. He chairs the committee and looks after the breed register: the records of our dogs, litters and pedigrees. A few words from Ken will be added here soon. Jacquie is our Vice President, Treasurer and Rescue and Rehome Officer. She helps lead the Association and its committee, looks after the club's finances, finds new homes for Murrays in need and helps breeders find homes for their puppies. A few words from Jacquie will be added here soon. Bronwyn is our Secretary and looks after Membership, keeping the committee's meetings, minutes and letters in order and helping members join and renew. She also helps promote the breed and the Association. A few words from Bronwyn will be added here soon. Matt is our IT Manager. He looks after the website, the club's Microsoft 365 email, Teams and files, and all of our technical systems, and he helps with our social media. A few words from Matt will be added here soon. Di puts together the club calendar and the Murray Mail newsletter, and she supports the Secretary, Membership, the Registrar and our rescue and rehoming work. A few words from Di will be added here soon. Deleene runs the club's Facebook groups and pages, and she helps with promotions and with rescue and rehoming. A few words from Deleene will be added here soon. Jann is our Promotions Officer, sharing the Murray River Retriever and the Association with a wider audience. A few words from Jann will be added here soon. Katherine joined the committee this year and is spending her first twelve months learning how the Association works, helping with rescue and rehoming along the way. A few words from Katherine will be added here soon. Our roles
