About the Association

The Association was started in 2010 as the Murray River Curly Coated Retriever Association, after Murray owners came together in an online group. The first meeting was held on 13 June 2010.

The Murray River Curly Coated Retriever Association was incorporated in Victoria in 2012. The name was changed in 2015 to the Murray River Retriever Association Incorporated, to avoid any confusion between the Australian developed Murray River Retriever and the English Curly Coated Retriever. The dog register in its current form began in 2014.

The club is also on Facebook: see Social Media for its groups.

The Committee

The Committee runs the Association, and everyone on it is a volunteer. Here is who they are, what they do and where they live. Most things, from puppies to rehoming to your membership, have their own form on this website: please use it, as that is the quickest way to get an answer.

Please read this first. This form is only for things that do not have their own form on this website. We are a volunteer committee and our time is limited. We built this website to improve our services, but that only works if you use it. If you write here about something that has its own form, we will direct you back to that form. Thank you for understanding.
