Three ingredients: oats, peanut butter and banana.

Round peanut butter and banana dog cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter (Ensure no Xylitol as it is toxic to dogs)
  • 1 large ripe banana (or 2 medium bananas) smashed

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Blend the oats until you have a fine flour, or, alternatively, use oat flour instead.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, smash the peanut butter and ripe banana/s. And the oat flour and smash with a fork until the dough is thick and well combined.
  5. If it's crumbly, add 2-4 Tablespoons more peanut butter and recombine.
  6. You want the dough to be firm, sticky, and pliable; roll dough into a thin slab, about ~1/4 inch thick, and cut into shapes with a cookie cookie.
  7. Alternatively, you can roll them into 1 Tablespoon balls and flatten with your hands for a simple circular cookie.
  8. Bake for ~15 minutes until lightly brown underneath.
  9. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before sampling or sharing with your pup!
  10. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freezer for up to 2 months

Club note: as printed the oats read "1/2 cups"; a number may have been lost (perhaps 1 1/2 cups). Add oat flour until the dough is firm.
