Good to know
- Nothing to download from an app store and nothing to pay. It is the club’s website, installed from your browser.
- It updates itself. Every time you open it you see the website as it is today.
- It needs an internet connection. Without one it shows a short notice asking you to reconnect.
- No notifications. The app does not send alerts, and it collects nothing the website does not.
- Sign in once. On an iPhone or iPad the app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari, so you may need to sign in the first time you open it.
iPhone and iPad
Works in Safari. On iOS 16.4 or later it also works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
- Open this website.
- Tap Share (the square with an arrow pointing up). In Safari it is at the bottom of the screen, or at the top on an iPad. In Chrome, Edge and Firefox it is in the address bar or the menu.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If it is not in the list, tap Edit Actions at the bottom and add it.
- If you see Open as Web App, leave it switched on.
- Tap Add. The MRRA icon appears on your home screen.
Android phones and tablets
Works in Chrome, Samsung Internet, Edge and Firefox.
- Chrome: tap the menu (three dots, top right), then Add to home screen, then Install. Chrome may also offer Install app at the bottom of the screen: tap it.
- Samsung Internet: tap the menu (three lines, bottom right), then Add page to, then Home screen.
- Edge and Firefox: tap the menu, then Install, Add to phone or Add to home screen (the wording differs between versions).
Windows, Mac, Chromebook and Linux computers
- Google Chrome: click the install icon at the right of the address bar (a screen with a down arrow), then Install. Or open the menu (three dots), then Cast, save and share, then Install page as app.
- Microsoft Edge: click the App available icon in the address bar, then Install. Or open the menu (three dots), then Apps, then Install this site as an app.
- Safari on a Mac (macOS Sonoma or later): choose File, then Add to Dock.
- Firefox does not install websites as apps on most computers. Use Chrome, Edge or Safari, or add a bookmark instead.
Removing the app
Remove it like any other app. On a phone or tablet, press and hold the MRRA icon and choose Remove, Delete or Uninstall. On a computer, open the app, open its menu (three dots at the top) and choose Uninstall. Your membership is not affected.
It is not working
- No install option? Update your browser and your device’s software, then try again.
- Reading this in Facebook, Messenger, Instagram or an email app? Those apps cannot install websites. Open this page in Safari or Chrome first, using the app’s menu (often “Open in browser”).
