We would like to thank everyone who attended our annual Murrays on the Murray (MOTM) event, which was recently held in Moama, NSW, as well as all those who continue to support the Association.
Following the Annual General Meeting, which was held on 10 October 2026, we are pleased to announce the Committee who will be representing and supporting the Association for the coming year.

We congratulate everyone appointed to their respective positions and thank them for their willingness to contribute their time, skills and enthusiasm to protect and promote the Murray River Retriever.
We also extend our appreciation to Deb and Leon Wright who after over a decade of service to the Committee have decided that it is time for them to hang up their hats. Deb was rightfully awarded a Life Membership to the MRRA for her service in several different roles throughout her time on the Committee and Leon will no doubt continue to fly the ‘Murray’ flag within the Hunting fraternity which we are incredibly grateful for.
The incumbent committee is energized and enthusiastic about the future of the Association and are committed to working together in the best interests of it’s members and for the future of the Murray River Retriever. We look forward to supporting our members, continuing to build a welcoming and engaged community and working to share, educate and promote our much loved breed to a broader audience.
We encourage all members and Facebook group participants to get involved, share ideas and help us continue to grow and strengthen our association. We do still have a vacant position available on the Committee and are looking for someone who has bookkeeping or accounting skills and is willing and able to volunteer a few hours of their time each week as a valuable member of our committee. Please reach out to the Treasurer for more information. If you have other skills that you feel can benefit the Association we are always happy for more people to be involved.
Thank you for being part of our community. We look forward to a positive and productive year ahead!
Kind regards,
🐾 Your Executive Committee (Ken, Jacquie & Bronwyn)
